Exfoliating Tree Bark

London Plane Tree Exfoliating Bark

In hot summers it happens that the plane tree throws off a lot of tree bark. That's a good sign, because the plane tree is growing faster in hot and dry summers as in normal summers. As it grows not only in height, but also in width, the bark on the trunk and on the branches bursts. Whether the plane tree needs water, it can be seen at the leaves. When they begin to wither, the tree should be watered.
