Tree profile
The leaves of Incised Silver maple are palmate lobed with 5 very deeply incised lobes. The leaves are 8 - 16 cm (3.2 - 6.3 in) long and 6 - 12 cm (2.4 - 4.7 in) broad. The leaf surface is light green, the underside is white. The leaf margin is serrated.
The male flower is greenish and like panicles. The female flower is red.
The fruit is a samara with two winged nutlets. The wings are often reddish and arranged at an acute angle.
The branches are light brown and thin. The branches hang down.
